I've been using The Official Scheduler for my umpires for the past two years... the amount of time saved is tremendous. The site is very user-friendly and intuitive, allowing me not only to schedule games but also to cross-reference with payroll... Changes are made on-the-fly, allowing me send out information in real time related to game/schedule/weather-related changes. The Overview sidebar, readily accessible from any page, allows quick access to information most relevant to officials: a calendar with upcoming games highlighted and the five-day weather forecast from the National Weather Service.

When logged in, users can view a list of everyone currently logged onto the system.

A Bulletin Board and a general Discussion Board allow users to quickly communicate with each other without email. Posts are listed in a nested format that makes it easy to navigate long threads.

Users may delete but not modify their own posts. Posts are automatically marked as read when they are opened. Unread posts are bolded.

TOS features a powerful notification system that keeps track of changes to the game schedule. When games are rescheduled, officials working those games are automatically notified upon login. Notification messages can be dismissed individually.

Administrators can view a list of all notifications recorded, send new notification messages to any number of users, and keep track of who dismissed each message.

As illustrated above, advanced table searching and filtering capabilities make it easy to find exactly what you are looking for, whether it is a list of notification messages that have not been completely dismissed, a list of games scheduled on a given day, or even a list of users who have not set their passwords.
